Certification updates

The TRUE rating system is a certification system for zero waste performance. It helps facilities define, pursue and achieve their zero waste goals, cutting their carbon footprint and supporting public health.

Similar to LEED, the TRUE rating system has quarterly addenda when needed. In 2022, TRUE version 1 addenda were released for April, July, and October. In 2023, TRUE version 1 addenda were released in January and just last month in July. All addenda can be found within this Excel spreadsheet

The July 2023 addenda updated not only the rating system, but also the Diversion Data Additional Guidance document (November 2022). Visit the TRUE Addenda Update: July 2023 to learn more.

Additionally, note the TRUE Certification Guide was recently updated in June 2023.
