Stephen Smith continues role as Board Chair

CaGBC is pleased to announce the re-election of Stephen Smith as our Board Chair, and to welcome three new members to our Board of Directors, continuing our green building leadership and expertise from across the building sector.

Tony Cupido, Stéphan Déry and Chris Piché bring valuable insight and perspective from key building industry sectors, enabling CaGBC to more effectively contribute to Canada’s transformation to high-performing, healthy green buildings, homes and communities.

Stephen Smith (Chair)

Manulife Real Estate

Seat: Real Estate Owners and Developers

Steve Smith is the Managing Director, Western Canada, and is responsible for the oversight of all activities within Manulife Real Estate’s western portfolio.

Tony Cupido

Mohawk College

Seat: Academia & Research

Tony Cupido is the inaugural Research Chair, Sustainability at Mohawk College where he provides leading-edge research to contribute to a low-carbon economy and engages students to develop a multi-disciplinary focus on finding real-world solutions to social, economic and environmental challenges.

Stéphan Déry

Real Property Services

Seat: Government & Policy

Stéphan Déry was appointed Assistant Deputy Minister of Real Property Services at PSPC on Aug. 19, 2019 and is responsible for the delivery of the entire suite of real property services to federal departments and agencies.

Chris Piché

Integral Group

Seat: Professional Firms

Chris Piché is the Regional Director for East Coast Operations at Integral, where he is responsible for directing the development of regional strategic and business plans consistent with the established mission, vision, core values and strategic plan of the firm.
