how to get involved

In the past, CaGBC members have contributed to the adaptation of rating systems only through volunteer committees and technical advisory groups. Since the CaGBC national summit last June, members have been taking advantage of a new online discussion forum: the virtual community. Discussion topics focus on specific aspects of the rating system identified by the volunteer group where broader membership input enriches the development process.

The virtual community is your unique opportunity to contribute to LEED Canada rating systems before final documents are presented for member ballot. Join the 500 virtual community subscribers now sharing ideas and opinions about:

  • LEED Canada 2009 for New Construction and Major Renovations –open until Sunday, September 21, 2008

Current discussion topics cover a wide range of issues now under discussion with the volunteer committees working on the rating systems including: definition of “regional material”, energy performance data and energy metering, audit of cleaning products, and water use and metering. Want to share your thoughts on these topics or read what others have to say? Visit the virtual community today at http://lci.cagbc.org.
